This website uses cookies
In compliance with Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSICE), we inform you that this website, Grupo Rauros, uses cookies.
The LSSICE applies to any type of file or device that is downloaded to a user’s terminal equipment for the purpose of storing data that may be updated and retrieved by the entity responsible for its installation. A cookie is one of these widely used files, which we will generally refer to as cookies.
Cookies are small text files sent to a browser from a web server to record user activity on a website so that such information can later be retrieved during navigation through the different pages connected to the server that installed them.
Cookies usually store technical information, personal preferences, content personalization, usage statistics, links to social networks, access to user accounts, etc.
Types of cookies
Below is a classification of cookies according to a number of categories. However, it should be noted that the same cookie may be included in more than one category.
According to the entity that manages them
- First-party cookies: These are cookies that are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third-party cookies: These are cookies that are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
In the event that cookies are installed from a device or domain managed by the publisher itself, but the information collected through them is managed by a third party, they are not considered first-party cookies.
According to the length of time they remain active
Depending on the length of time they remain active on the terminal equipment, we can distinguish between:
- Session cookies: These are a type of cookies designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a website. They are usually used to store information that is only needed for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion (e.g. a list of purchased products).
- Persistent cookies: These are a type of cookies in which the data remains stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a defined period of time by the cookie controller, which may range from a few minutes to several years.
According to their purpose
Depending on the purpose for which the data obtained through cookies is processed, we can distinguish between:
- Technical cookies: These are cookies that allow the user to browse through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services available therein, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted areas, remembering the elements that make up an order, carrying out the purchase process of an order, submitting an application for registration or participation in an event, using security elements during browsing, storing content for the dissemination of videos or sound, or sharing content through social networks.
- Personalization cookies: These are cookies that allow the user to access the service with certain predefined general characteristics based on a series of criteria on the user’s terminal, such as the language, the type of browser through which the service is accessed, the regional configuration from where the service is accessed, etc.
- Analytics cookies: These are cookies that allow the party responsible for them to track and analyze the behavior of users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through this type of cookies is used to measure the activity of websites, applications or platforms and to create browsing profiles of users of said sites, applications and platforms, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of usage data.
- Advertising cookies: These are cookies that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of advertising spaces that, where applicable, the publisher has included on a website, application or platform from which the requested service is provided, based on criteria such as the edited content or the frequency with which ads are displayed.
- Behavioral advertising cookies: These are cookies that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of advertising spaces that, where applicable, the publisher has included on a website, application or platform from which the requested service is provided. These cookies store information on user behavior obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows the development of a specific profile to display advertising based on it.
